Unsolicited Material - Presubmission Requirements
JAAOS requires presubmission approval for unsolicited material. For your proposal to be considered, please provide the following: (1) Authors and affiliations, (2) an abstract, (3) detailed outline, (4) proposed bibliography.

Surgical Techniques Additional Presubmission Requirement: Surgical Techniques articles describe a specific surgical procedure, illustrate key steps with line drawings and photographs, and provide video of the technique. In addition to the above, please include video
(see Instructions for Authors for specifications) and ancillary material to support your proposal. We accept only high-resolution digital video at a minimum size of 720 x 480. Video content may be submitted in DVCAM/miniDV tape, DVD-Video, or QuickTime Microsoft DV format. Accepted media are CD-ROM and DVD-ROM.
