JAAOS Online Subscriber Help & Information:

Institutional Subscriptions

[ COST ] [Frequently Asked Questions] [Terms and Conditions]

For the most part, institutional access is limited to computers at one geographic site within a particular set of Internet IP addresses. See Guidelines for Institutional Access for details about authorized use and authorized users.

For example, each campus in the State University of New York system is considered a different site, and each branch or office of UpJohn Laboratories is considered a different site.

Ordering Procedure

Subscribing to JAAOS Online is a 2-step process:

First, you must follow your usual "new serial" ordering procedures to subscribe to the paper version of JAAOS Online, ISSN 1067-151X, which also provides access to the online version. Payment should be made to your subscription agent or directly to the JAAOS Subscription Office.

Second, once your serial vendor or the Publisher has received payment, you will receive a letter with instructions for obtaining access to the World Wide Web edition; the letter will direct you to an online form. You will be asked to provide the following information necessary to activate your subscription to JAAOS Online:

Institution's IP Address(es)
[CRITICAL INFORMATION ABOUT IP ADDRESSES -- READ THIS]

Contact name, title, phone, fax, and email

Subscriber number (included with the letter)

We will send you the address of this web form and instructions for filling it out after we verify payment. Your institution will not have access to the complete JAAOS Online until you complete this second step.

If you are having access problems...

Access to JAAOS Online is currently restricted to print subscribers to the journal. A letter has been sent to subscribers providing instructions for signing on to JAAOS Online. If you are having difficulties in accessing the material, please read the following instructions:

You can also email us at jaaos{at}ebsco.com. Make sure that the subscriber number we provided you with is available.

If you are subscribing to JAAOS through a subscription agency and the issues are being shipped directly to your address, please give us a call at 800/633-4931 (205/995-1567 outside US & Canada) or fax us at 205/995-1588 and we will try to assist you. Again, make sure that the subscriber number we provided you with is available.

If you are subscribing to JAAOS through a subscription agent and the issues are being sent to them at their collection place and then forwarded to you, please ask your agent to contact us and provide us with documentation that identifies you as a subscriber. Without documentation, you will not be identified as a paid subscriber and we will not be able to help you from our office.

We are doing our best to accommodate you. Thank you for your assistance and understanding.
